The Konkan division of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has recently announced a significant opportunity for prospective homeowners. A total of 12,636 houses will be made available for various housing schemes across several locations, including Thane, Kalyan, Titwala, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg. Following the Mumbai division’s previous lottery, this new initiative aims to facilitate access to affordable housing for residents in these areas.

Draft List Announcement and Key Dates

The draft list of eligible applications will be released on the MHADA website on December 18 at 6 PM. This list will provide details on which applications meet the criteria for participation in the upcoming lottery draw. Interested individuals should take note of this date to check their eligibility status.

Application Process Begins

The application registration process commenced on October 11 at 12:30 PM as part of MHADA’s Go Live initiative. Of the 12,636 houses available, 11,187 are offered under a first-come, first-served priority scheme. This means applicants can secure a home simply by completing their registration promptly.

To apply, individuals can visit the official MHADA website at housing.mhada.gov.in, where they will find the necessary forms and additional information about the registration process. The application can be easily downloaded and completed using Android or iOS devices.

Lottery Draw Process

The lottery for the remaining 1,439 houses will be conducted using a computerized system to ensure transparency and fairness. This draw will be executed in two phases, with the results published online. Applicants have until December 10 at 10 PM to submit their applications for the lottery.

Payment of Deposit

Once registered, applicants must pay a deposit to secure their eligibility. The deadline for depositing this amount is December 11 at 11:59 PM. Payments can be made online, while bank transactions (ITGS/NEFT) should be completed by the close of banking hours on December 1.

Draft List and Claims

The draft list detailing eligible applications will be available on the MHADA website at 6 PM on December 18. Following its release, applicants will have until 5 PM on December 20 to raise any claims or objections regarding the draft list. This provides a significant opportunity for individuals to address any discrepancies or concerns about their application status.

Revati Gaykar, the Chief Officer of the Konkan Mandal, has urged applicants to stay informed about the process and use the available resources. The MHADA website provides a variety of supportive materials, including guidebooks and help sites, to assist applicants through the process.

For those applying for a house, registration can be completed on the MHADA lottery website. If any issues arise, applicants can contact the MHADA helpline at 022-69468100 for assistance.

Announcement of Results

The results of the draw will be publicly announced on December 24 through the MHADA website. The computerized draw will determine the eligibility of applicants on December 27. Each applicant will receive immediate notifications about the results via SMS, email, and through the mobile app, ensuring that all participants are promptly informed of their application status.
